Painting 3D Printed Parts - An Experiment

In this video we'll take a look at different ways of preparing and spray painting 3D printed parts. In this video we just grabbed some sand paper, some plastic primer, a few different spray paints and tested out different things to see how we could get the best result (ie. a smooth-ish finish).

Thanks for doing this experiment. For better results, try sanding the rough parts, then priming. Then sanding again. The primer should fill in most of the gaps and smooth out the imperfections. You can do this 2-3 times (sanding, priming, sanding, ...). That should make it almost perfect when spray painting it :)

Nice tutorial! Saves me the trouble of experimenting myself. However could you be a bit more specific with the actual grain of sand paper you used? Thanks for the video, and yes I would like to see more "how
