Old YMCA in downtown San Diego gets $80 million makeover

The YMCA launched in 1924 to serve the fast-growing population of military members in San Diego. It was purchased in 2014 and given an $80 million-dollar makeover.

I stayed there many times during my time stationed in San Diego in 1986 to 1989. I loved the rec rooms where we played pool and watched TV. Like the Super Bowl, World Series.
