I went to Bangkok's iconic restaurant Jeh O Chula and was blown away by their Thai style salmon sashimi salad (yum pla salmon sod) and was determined to come back and recreate it. The recipe turned out perfect!

Thai people dont eat seafood without this sauce is not exaggerated at all lol
One of the origin story of this sauce is that It was made to hide the smell and taste of not so good seafood back then.
but now no matter how good or bad seafood is, seafood dipping is always a must lol

I just made this! It’s so good. I got two beautiful chunks of salmon. One this way, one for soy/wasabi. They both ended up dressed w this awesome sauce! Thanks for adding to my arsenal

Love these "recreating" video. My favorite thing about going to fancy or famous restaurants is to try recreating my favorite dishes at home.

This was totally amazing. Best Thai thing I have recreated and from Scotland we can get great salmon. I added some boiled small Scottish potatoes to get a bit more out of it- hey I like value. Will be making this again and again!!

Omg as soon as I saw this video I had to rush to my local Japanese market. I already had most of the ingredients in my pantry except the sashimi grade salmon and mint. Anyway I made this and I was over the moon, this was so delicious. I found the recipe easy to prepare. Thanks Pailin!! 😅

Oh this is so a dish for me. Citrusy and Salmon? Yes! I’m actually making Lemon pasta today. Like in half an hour… and still have some mint leaves, so this will be next. So refreshing in the summer.

Oh WOW this looks like an absolute winner! And can probably be thrown together in minutes. I'm bringing this to my next potluck and I have no doubt it will be a hit with that mouthwatering _nam jim_ seafood!

Well P., your friend delivered the knife... I recall our conversation from more than ten years ago! I cannot wait to make and try this dish when my apartment is refurbished and I'm back in my kitchen. It looks sooo good, you must have completed the recipe but a few years ago! Delicious! Thank you so incredibly much for sharing with me back in the day in Arlington. B.F.F.!

We have salmon at least once a week, so I have a feeling we'll be trying this soon. Thank you, Pailin!
