Dark Souls 2 - Farming Soul Geyser (with Guardian Dragon Fight)

It’s still pretty good in the current patch.. It just depends on resistances. On earlier NG cycles this will destroy just about everything when you land all the hits.

The Guardian Dragon was on bonfire intensity 3, he still goes down in a few Soul Geysers either way. He’s actually linked to the Ritual Site bonfire in Aldia’s Keep, so you’ll need to defeat him again if you want more than 2 copies.

Otherwise you can just burn an ascetic and grab the second copy, it comes with a Petrified Dragon Bone and this also gives you a chance to farm the monastery set (from a phantom in the first painting on the left, from the bonfire) There’s also a simpletons spice near the end of the area, and 3 Elizabeth’s Mushrooms under a table right by the bonfire.

You don’t get infinite ascetics here, but you get a pretty nice haul and likely won’t need too many stacks of Soul Geyser. It’s mostly only good for huge targets and bosses.

I've actually hit higher damage with Fire Snake, but you need to hit point blank and Pyromancy Flame is too damn slow. Caitha's Chime Climax is still the best, but Sorcery has a lot more versatility and great INT weapons.

When you said "sorcery has more versatility" you meatn the fact that you can cast more than 1 spell over 2500 damage in a row? Because climas is a single use spell unless you kill a 5000 souls worth of enemy with every cast
