Another Blues fan here just curious what the enemy is really enjoyed your analysis from the "other side". I think it will be a long, tough series. I think it comes down to goaltending. I wouldn’t be too sure about not seeing Holloway. “Week-to-week” as of two weeks ago and has been practicing on the ice. Unless it’s a 4-game sweep I’d assume Holloway will make an appearance.

Blues fan. I really wish we had one more win and were facing Vegas. The Jets scare me more than any other team.
The Jets are good. Like silly good with no weakness of any kind in their game. They have the best record for a reason.

The fact that most Jets fans have us as the team they also didn't want to face tells me this will be a great series. My Notes will not be an easy out!

Objectively I must pick the Jets in 6 or 7. In the end they are the better team.

That doesn't mean I don't have hope:
1 St. Louis has been the hottest team since 4 nations with a league best record of 19-4-3 (admitted 0-1-1 vs. Winnipeg)

2 A big intangible - pressure! The Notes are playing with house money. If the Blues lose a close, hard fought, first round everyone in St. Louis is still happy with this season and looking forward to the future. For the Jets this is a make or break moment. This is their best shot at a Cup since.... ever (including 2018). The whole province of Manitoba is a mix of excitement and nervousness. The Jets are playing with a mountain of pressure on top of them. This will often cause a team to tighten up more than they should. All while the Blues are playing loose.

3 Playoff Binnington vs. Playoff Hellebuyck. Historically one of these goalies steps up his game when the lights are brightest, and has much better playoffs than regular seasons. At his best in do or die games. Historically one of these goalies has better regular seasons than playoffs. Hellebuyck should win the Vezina - Deservedly! But in this series I would rather have Binnington.

I offer a pregame handshake to every Jets fan out there. 🎺✈🎺✈🎺✈This is going to be fun!! For what its worth, Winnipeg is easily the team I would be rooting for if the Blues had not made the playoffs, and still will be IF you get by us.
