SAMSUNG Galaxy Buds 3 Pro: How to Put into Pairing Mode?

I put on the Samsung case before pairing it with my PC (and the case seems impossible to take off!) is there another way to enable pairing mode?

thanks, the tiny instruction paper just says to "press" the button, nothing about having the case open or holding it down.
