There are pragmatic choices and emotional choices when new car shopping and buying a Giulia is certainly the latter. Will it be Lexus reliable? No. Have the polish of a BMW or Mercedes? Not this time around. But it does have personality in spades and that's enough of a reason to put the Giulia on your lease-shopping list for sure.

One of the most underrated cars currently sold.

My Giulia QV has been very reliable. This car has been fantastic. If you're looking at this segment the Giulia is the enthusiast option you shouldn't overlook.

Own two Alfas. My 2.5 year old Stelvio has been very reliable and fun to drive. My one year old Giulia QV has been driven from Maine to Miami and everywhere else. Extremely fun and not one reliability issue. I've owned Audi S5 and Mercedes-AMG and both had issues and weren't nearly as fun to drive.

I have a 2019 Giulia, best car I've ever driven. It makes driving the Audi A4 or BMW 3 series feel like a Camry. Cars compared to that I've also owned/leased: 2008 Mx-5, e46 BMW, Q50 Red Sport 400.

So Alex...glad to see you're enamored with Alfa ...and that you rightly point out how even the standard 2 Liter Giulia is miles better than the competition but there's an important design philosophy that exists with Alfa vs the Germans....
Alfa designed the Quad version first and then began to subtly take components away to arrive at the base Giulia model....therefore they share many components...Chassis, Carbon fiber drive shaft, suspension geometry (although Quad has more exotic materials), Steering rack (by far the best part of these cars), etc, etc....whereas the Germans take a base model 3 / 4 series or "C" class or A 4 and then start throwing performance stuff at them....Kind of like LIPSTICK ON A PIG !!!

FORZA ALFA BABY !!!
THE KING IS BACK !!!

I've owned BMW, Audi, and Lexus. They don't compare to my 2020 TI Sport. When I park it and walk away I always look back a couple of times. As far as reliability, it's been flawless.

The best driver’s car that doesn’t sell well. They put most money in things like Can’t imagine a standard carbon fiber drive shaft in the level of 34c.

Absolutely love mine. Purchased new and I wouldn’t think twice about it

“That’s a bit of a pity” - I think every review should include this phrase at least once.

I simply love the Giulia. Best sedan in this segment if you care about driving dynamic.

I always look forward to seeing which song you pick for the infotainment segment. That’s a great touch.

I have a 2017 Giulia Base. Absolutely love it!!! Blast to drive!!

Only issue I had was I punctured 2 tires. But, that's something no one can prevent.

I think the best option is to get a Giulia in the new Estrema trim which includes the LSD and adaptive suspension found in the Quad (as well as some of the carbon bits), and then throwing in a piggyback tune unit like the JB4. This should get you up to 320+ HP and your 0-60 time in the AWD version should be mid 4s. This gets you much closer to the M340i, matches the S4/S5 and matches the C43. All in a car that drives much better than any of them, looks much prettier and is much more unique.

Love the shift paddles on the column. When in a turn on a city street, I always know where to find the shift paddle even if I go hand over hand. If I was on a track, then it wouldn't be a big deal but usually I'm not on a track.

I detest FCA, but good Lord, how can I hate this Alfa? The Gulia is just so beautiful.

This is one of if not THE most comprehensive guide I've seen on a vehicle / vehicle class. The comparisons, the metrics, the video. All of them were on point, relevant, and entertaining.

Recently purchased the '17 Giulia QF so I wanted to just see the differences between the first gen and the most modern one, but I stayed throughout for all the competition info. Quite interesting!

I am happy with my Giulia Veloce. Bought it because of the steering, pedal response and how it looks. Only thing I can complaint is about how the indicators work. My next one will be the same. Love driving it in NZ winding mountainous roads.
