This sweet baby is shooting well over 100 feet regularly with new darts. Thank you Drac!I demo'd this at Pandoracon, and even with the slower battery it blew away my expectations. I just picked up the orange "Jyn Erso" version of this for $15 on clearance. Sadly, it came with no scope, barrel extension or stock, but I happen to have some extra Modulus parts laying around :D

You seem electrically savvy. Have you considered arduino microcontrollers control led flashing, motor outputs, etc? I know nothing of nerf blaster but arduinos are low power and come in a variety of sizes and pretty easy to program.

one thing you should do is add a capacitor for decreased rev time, I never seen you do it so I want you to try it as a experiment on a stryfe or somthing

I use a lighter for heat shrink, and all of the radios and other things I've hooked up for family members has still been going strong

Solvent weld only welds two pieces of plastic together, so that's some other type of adhesive.

i think you did great but i world rewire the motors only because then you can just sauder the wires from the motors together then you have the lights and sounds the same and better motors

You did a good job modifying  that blaster, I bet you can't do that again, for a few more or two; it's alright if you don't at least you made this special video to remember!!!

You could just use a 6V regulator (e.g. LM7806) for the electronics instead of having to calculate the correct resistors. The wiring would be much simpler and the blaster should function exactly the same way it did from the factory.

Forgot to mention in my rebuild that Hasbro glued the motors into the cage. Whoops.

Can't tell if you wired the sound card PCB back in as that was in a time lapse segment. You can leave the light scrolling effect and SFX intact if you keep the sound card, speaker and LED array wired as stock. All you have to do is wire the pos and neg leads from the sound card to your XT60 batt connector along with the flywheel leads. If you keep the motor cage resistor board in place (provides resistance to the UV LEDs), desolder the flywheel leads from the board (motors are wired directly to the XT60 connector), all electronics function.
