I think the cities in ats are much better than in ets2, but ets2 is still better because it has much more support (more mods) and a bigger player base

I love both. Sometimes i just a need a lonely long drive through the desert of Nevada. US just has the more interesting nature. But yes the roads and cities are more interesting in europe. Greetings from boring Germany ;-)

A dream someday could travel from ETS2 to ATS and vice versa, buying the 2 games, for example going from California to Berlin with a job, or from Russia to New York.

having played ets since 2014 I can comfortably agree ats is better trucking game than ets.ats best trucking game ever!!!

It's all perspective, in my opinion. If we're looking at the development side, then yes ETS has been out longer than ATS. But ATS has unique maps and it's a different environment. Personally I prefer ETS, I'm not exactly a big fan of the same monotonous roads. But there are ATS Map Combos that help combat this issue. So it's down to personal taste.

I have both games since around 2017. I played ATS almost for 2000 hours and ETS2 around 500 hours and I have every map DLCs on both games, also tried Promods. I don't think that ETS2 have more varied environnements than ATS as both have deserts, mountains, plains, forests and ocean or seaside roads. I found more interesting and challenging dirt roads in ATS ( Washington and Montana states) than in ETS2. Big cities seems more well done in ATS in my opinion too. Don't forget that ATS is only in ONE country as opposed to ETS2. ETS2 is certainly more played because a majority of the world uses Euro-type trucks as opposed to american trucks that are mostly used un USA, Canada, some countries of central America and Australia. I'm part of the 100% that watch this video and prefer ATS over ETS2 probably because I'm Canadian and mostly because of the american trucks wich I like more and and are really more easy for me to differenciate one from another. If one day SCS makes maps in Canada, in Quebec province and down in Mexico, we will have at least, three different languages in ATS ;) For me, two games should only really be compared raw, vanilla, without mods, anything else is a plus as not everyone uses mods in their games.

Ats is better run ultra with 400 over 90 fps , ETs2 bas map low fps and dlc below 30 fps Ats is more fun has real sound for all trucks over 60 pcs and real trailers the entire usa map and more

In ATS when it first came out in truckersMP there was about 2500 people playing back then (someone said in the chat that they were all immigrants from calais)

Ive just started playing ETS2 after playing ATS since its launch in 2016. I woukd have thought the performance would be the same but I get serious lagging/rubberbanding on ETS2 that I dont on ATS. GPU is sitting between 40-50% and CPU 10-15% FPS doesnt drop, it just lags. Any idea why? Ive tried everything even running it at 720p low same issue. Doesnt happen with ATS for me which I play at 1440p max setting with a solid 60fps.

Nope. ATS is better, has more off-road, higher highways limits, better trucks, mods for good old engines, etc.

How do you get to those gravel/dirt roads and inner city neighbourhoods. Whenever I'm on a job the GPS always tells me to go to the highway. But which cities are these roads in

I will admit, despite me loving ATS and living on the east coast of America exploring the west coast and pretending I'm a truck driver is really fun to me, but it can get boring and I do have the urge to play ETS2 because of the more challenging roadways lol
