Hang in, you are amazing, your content and helpful tips for taking the boards are amazing. Thank you for all you do, I’m scared the transition from ICU RN to provider is something to grasp early, and will be challenging. In my practicum I could not chart in real time, and stayed for a couple of hours after the clinic closed, we were seeing around 28 patients a day, and I could not keep up even though the patient load was split with my preceptor.Take time for yourself, don’t burn out, it’s all about work -life balance, your down time is important to prepare for the next day.

Hi Brittany! I am finally writing to THANK YOU! You inspire me to be a better person/mom/student/NP. I’ve been watching your channel since I started studying for my boards this past summer. I am about to start my first job as a FNP in a few weeks and watching your videos has been a life change for me. I feel like I’ve known you for years! Thank you for all you’ve done to help so many students and professionals in the nursing field! You rock girl! Ana

I am 3 weeks in as a new NP, too. Yes, it definitely helps to have another experienced provider nearby! Quick food bars are a must with the short staffing issues. Remember you are doing your best!

All this anxiety is normal. You are doing great in all your roles. Look into creating templates for your charting at work or create them for home. It will make charting easier. Keep it up!

I completely relate to your one month update and I’m only two weeks into a new NP job at an internal medicine clinic. Prior to this job, I worked doing in home wellness exams for about a year and a half, but this is more of what I actually want to do long term. It’s been a huge adjustment and I feel like getting used to the EMR has been one of the biggest struggles so far. But the overthinking at home has been a thing and I’ve been the last one in the office charting pretty consistently too. But I’m hopeful it’ll get better with time. It sounds like you’re doing a great job though! And you’re seeing so many patients in urgent care!!

Hey Brittani, thank you so much for your amazing content it is really helping me study for boards. Now, I must say I am very concerned about you taking on so many patients. I don’t want you to get burned out! So if you can renegotiate your contract for more admin time for charting please do so. You are obviously super smart and I know the mom guilt is real, I have the same issue with my two daughters. As you know family always comes before work so please do some self care. The burn out is Real!! Take care and thx again for your content.

I start my first NP role in Primary Care the end of October! Excited, but nervous.

I'm doing my practicum now, and there's no time to chart between patients. I don't have a full load as a student though, but just wondering how do you remember all the assessment details of 30 patients at the end of the day, for charting?

Do you think where you go to school matters? Does a degree from a well known brick and mortar school make you more marketable?

Do you still fill out the assessment finding part? Or do you just do the plant and discharge instructions? I just started last month
