I feel the same way about my 2021 Tiguan with regards to the acceleration and power. Its not as weak as you'll read on the commercial websites. I always tell people its got it where it counts.

Nice review Kenny! That is a great smaller SUV with a lot of space especially in the back seat. For me German cars just have a different and better feel driving them. I hope that you are doing great!

I wish that start up sequence was as smooth as the review. Sounds like the U-Bahn is pulling into the station. I prefer a softer greeting. More this is going to be fun rather than danger is approaching.

Great video thank you. I would have loved if you reviewed the quality of phone calls on this Tiguan. I drive a 2011 Tiguan and there's usually a lot of noise at the other end (the person at the other end of the phone can hear the freeway noise).

Well according to Car and Driver magazine’s latest printed issue (May/June 2024) which we got in the mail yesterday April 20th, yes, it is better than the CRV, in their comparative with several cars of this segment the CRV came in 3rd, The Tiguan is 2 and the Mazda CX50 came in one

In Europe new model is available now. Shame that you can't buy it with 2.0 T gas engine. Only gas engine available in new model is 1.5 4cyl turbo. Great review as always. Greetings

I appreciate you covering what I want to know. I find it concerning how cars are coming in so tech heavy without any regard to their contribution to already dangerous levels of distracted driving. How are you supposed to go through all those screens and steps to adjust your driving speed while you're already behind the vehicle you're telling your car to avoid? Like what?

I have a 2022 SE w/4 Motion. Love the car but wish it had the VR6 as the four is quite noisy in lower gears.

I bought the VW Tiguan SE Black Out package with sunroof. So far, I'm impressed. I'm still discovering some features it has you didn't mention such as (1)--It has a "manual shift" option for gear 1st thru 6th gear which I will never use but it's there. (2) I was under the impression from the salesperson that I could change the "Ambient Lighting" for the screen display and such BUT my model will NOT do that. Overall, So far, it's really fun to drive, handles well, good exterior and interior, accessories are acceptable and overall very acceptable for the price.

AGTI wagon like the track is an suv Camaro. Sadly this is missing the acceleration of the hot hatch. A cool “ daddy” family car. S good alternative to sorento one of my favorites.

I have 2023 Tig rline black and I love it but feels it needs a lil more pep for a VW..I've tested the 0 to 60 time and it's around 8.1, but handles like a dream and it's very torque so it feels faster. Man your missing the full panaramic sunroof and the nicer cockpit speedometer. I'm waiting for the 2025 to come out with the bigger engine and huge infotainment system... It's now out in Europe for 2024

My response is: Tiguan is definitely better, for the simple reason that the Honda CRV uses CVT which is a combination of "pulleys & belt" whose longevity is doubtful, and will cost a bundle to repair, not to mention the wait time for the parts.
Also, when you step on the gas pedal, asking the engine to give you more power, you can hear the sound of the engine labouring, begging you for mercy!
The only advantage of the CVT is that the cost is lower, i.e. more profit for the car manufacturer, NOT the car buyer - you, yes YOU!
