RIP Lance Reddick: Destiny 2 players are gathering in game to pay tribute to Commander Zavala

After the tragic passing of Lance Reddick at the age of 60, Destiny 2 gamers are coming together in-game to pay tribute to Commander Zavala, the character Reddick portrayed in the franchise. Reddick was a well-known and talented actor with a lengthy list of impressive performances in movies, television, and video games, including The Wire, John Wick, Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, Quantum Break, and of course, the Destiny series. As a fitting homage to Reddick's memory, players are showing their respect to his character in The Tower, as evidenced in a heartwarming video shared on Twitter by Stephen Totilo from Axios.

Lance Reddick played the role of Charon in the John Wick movies, and fans are eagerly awaiting the release of John Wick: Chapter 4 later this month. Additionally, Reddick appears in the upcoming spin-off movie Ballerina, but the release date is yet to be announced. Unfortunately, Reddick passed away before the release of some of his projects, including the films White Men Can't Jump and Disney Plus's Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Reddick's work in video games is also well-known, with his memorable performances as Commander Zavala in Destiny, Martin Hatch in Quantum Break, and Sylens in Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West. In the future, Reddick will posthumously portray Hellboy in Hellboy: Web of Wyrd.
