I remember playing this game shortly ages ago and I did almost pick up on this, I was riding on the horse and just remember thinking to myself "huh, this still feels very slow, am I actually moving faster? No I have to be otherwise why is there a sprint button". Good to know I wasn't crazy.

You guys are all using the horse wrong. The only way to properly use the horse is to mash jump to scale mountains so that you dont have to walk around.

I just realized that it kinda reminds me of a horse care and riding game I played on either my DS or computer when I was little. I swear they reuse the same horse sound and the same movement😂

The horse is the reason my inquisitor is a mage who knows fade step and that I installed the mod where attacks don't cost you mana

Not only that, the mounts are oversized. The mounts on My time at Sandrock move way better and that's a cozy game. I hope in Dreadwolf this is fixed or taken out all together

You do go faster when you make your horse sprint, but I think it’s only about 30% faster. It’s just barely enough to make a difference.

I usually don’t ride the horse though since the levels aren’t really made with them in mind… and you don’t get companion conversations when you ride your mount. We already have a hard enough time hearing them with how rare they are. They even used to be glitched to where they would never pop up after you quick traveled to a spot in the area you’re already at (like to a different camp site). That also turned off your controller vibration too until you reload your save.

I recently bought the game again for my PS5 for six bucks (it looks and plays a LOT better on it than in my Xbox One), and I am finding out all the minor tech issues BioWare never fixed. Though I think they did fix the companion conversations.
