1:28 We assume you know the Toyota eCVT (not a belt-based CVT) is integral to the their hybrid system, not just something "mated" to it. Also, reviews that dwell on power & speed miss the point of hybrids. Fast enough is fine with buyers.

You are correct. The interior of our CX-5 Signature is markedly better than the CX-50 Premium Plus…and that turbo is a beast. We love it.

Just wish there was a fairly priced base Select trim. This CX-50 hybrid's starting price at the Preferred trim is ridiculously high. Or maybe Mazda should introduce a CX-30 hybrid already at a more competitive price.

Good point about the elbows not being able to rest properly on the pad if the front seat is adjusted too high for visibility. And why don’t we see more of Mike Danger lately on KBB auto video reviews?

I know it does not matter in Long Beach, but here where it gets cold a lack of a heated steering wheel is a shame. Also, if one actually listens to music, the upgrade to the Bose system really does make a difference. We had a CX50 rental a few weeks ago and the base stereo is really lousy.

My son bought it a week ago. What I felt in the back seat was that the ride was very bad and it was difficult to listen to music without earphones due to the sound of the outside wind. The car was much louder than a small sedan. I absolutely don't want to recommend it.
