James and Madeline, thank you for taking the time to create and present your hike. Just excellent. Your aura, your joy in being together sharing the adventure makes me smile. You truly follow the most important principle of long distance foot travel. HYOH, hike your own hike! One thing that I'm not sure you mentioned, but if you did it bears repeating. The SHT ethic requires sharing of camp sites. Sometimes people get territorial if you walk in to "their" site and ask to share for the night. I'm sure you know this because James mentions having campsites all to yourselves during the shoulder seasons. Trek on! I hope you'll be presenting your upcoming family hikes :-)
