This makes literally no difference. If anything, keeping your traps tensed is beneficial for the additional gain.

Another one is shortening the rom and stopping at 90 degrees and flaring out the elbows excessively… don’t listen to this guy, move your scapula through a full range, not only will you be stronger the trap stimulation is a good thing your muscles should work together this is why you overhead press rather than only close grip benching which is arguably better for front delt hypertrophy because of the full stretch.

REAL advice. don't ego.lift ur shoulders. light and think about and feel the delts. also.. extra light, lean forward for side laterals. life changing

Only actually happens when the weight is too light (10 rep plus weight) for you.

An adequate weight (9 rep max) will prevent you from this mistake.

Reason is your clavicle can't withstand the force from higher exertion on your lumbar.

this is a silly advice, you should literally do the opposit and not restrict your shoulder blades on this exercise, unlike bench press or a squat (yes squat) .
