For heaven's sake. You'd think no-one had ever used wood in art before, from the dumb comments on here. I take it none of the commenters below have any wooden items or furniture in their homes, then? The Natural History Museum commissioned her to do it! They also learned about all the life that lived on the tree. Did any of you even watch the whole video? New tees were planted, so get over youselves. I saw this "Tree" ceiling and it looks great. Don't ever go though. There are stuffed animals. So if a dead tree is going to upset you...

A painted ceiling would have achieved the same effect without the masterclass in pointless waste & would have left the oak & it's ecosystem to go another 200 years.

Kind of dumb that they cut down a whole 200 year old tree just to put half of it in a museum for a few months

HOW ARROGANT AND VAIN!!! To cut a majestic 200 year old Oak tree to make a 'work of art'!!! Tania Kovats uses a lot of 'kind of' and 'sort of' when she speaks, and the whole endeavour comes across as total and utter hubris, with no respect and appreciation for the humble, persistent force of nature that has built that silent living awe inspiring shape. DREADFUL AND SAD.
