Note : if you do not need distinct outputs and want 1/3, 1/4, etc until 1/9 chance, you can do it with no more than this circuit. Fill your dispenser with 1 stackable, and multiple unstackable items. The output you want, with the small probability, will be the one associated with the stackable item signal. You really can make all probability like 1/40 combining a 1/8 and a 1/5 circuit and so on. Also thank you for the video, it is incredibly simple. I never knew about the different signal strenght of dropped items.

Tip for anyone else, you can lead each side of the red stone signals into another set of 50/50 randomizers to get a 1/4 chance or keep doing it and get lower and lower

U can also use arrow dispenser and target block idk of it's chance and it give different amount of redstone out put make the first one slower to the next so u can block it with repeater but it's quite big since it about 15 blocks wide and to refill it use structure block with arrow inside the dispenser u used

Does this still work by any chance? Interested in using this design for a minecraft map in which chests spawn in random places (so the redstone lanterns would be replaced by command blocks with a set of coords where the chest would go, also I'm thinking of 2 doors and its random which one will open.

That double repeater is useless, you can have 1 on 1 tick and move the furtest repeater a little more.
