This is partially correct. You can also do nested raid like raid 10 (1+0 not ten) which is mirroring for redundancy and stripping for speed of access. This is currently the best way to ensure redundancy while having access speeds relatively unhindered, but also very expensive because you need clones of your drives basically. And nested raids are only possible through hardware.

Raid 0 having no redundancy is an overstatement, with multiple drives which can fail and one failure is enough to render all data lost, its more like negative redundancy.

raid 5 is cache summing the drives not taking a third of the drive each drive has a smaller cache sum of the others and the redundant has a large cache sum allowing you to recover entire drives

Always remember that RAID is not a backup, always follow 3 2 1 backup strategy for important data.
