We need light rail system that reaches into the suburbs, Houston has alot of space compared to other huge cities, enough for a rail service to be constructed. Light rail brings alot of benefits, its clean and efficient compared to buses.

Why not just build commuter rails or light rails lol

Adding too lanes or highways does not help. We need more public transportation especially downtown so folks don't have to drive and waste gas and take ups many parking spots. We also need more storm drains on the street and and in parking lots.

Just ride a bicycle/walk. Definitely bring mace/ulock, but Houston is FUBAR when it comes to infrastructure. Agreed with the flooding, it’s only been getting worse and TXDOT isn’t getting paid to help drainage..

1:15 talk about a bottle neck merging into I-69, and the freeway below grade-going underground, thats just a tragedy waiting to happen when it floods...(drowning)-No way out and the cost of Lawsuits from the victims families....Don't do it

I saw the proposal, while nice they keep making the same mistakes. 4 main lanes near Canino and W Gulf Bank north bound will not address the traffic congestion there. It needs to be 5 lanes. Also they need to consider a quick connector to 249. They are doing all this reconstruction and keeping it 4 lanes? Insane! The managed lanes will not be enough. Learn from I-10, there is a major bottle neck from Hwy 6 to Beltway 8 for the same reason. It could have been minimized if there was one more lane. I-45 should have 5 main lanes from 610 to Beltway 8. Also the 3 lanes at I-610 is not enough, needs to be 4 lanes going over I610.
