Chelsea finished 5 points behind Villa last season with numerous injuries to key players and a manager who only got it right midway through the season. This time around they have a better squad, with young talented players who are a year older. Not to mention Palmer, arguably the league's best player. No UCL or Europa again as well. Maresca has said numerous times that he's not Pep and is influenced by a lot more managers than Pep. But let's just continue to call him Pep stooge, because he worked with Pep.

I doubt they watched the tactics employed during our Pre-Season, yet they are postulating.
