The Mystery of Dead by Daylight’s Missing Characters

Hey everyone, today One thing I always wondered was what happened to these characters that encountered the Entity, but were never present in the realm, visibly, at least. So, today we’re looking into the missing characters of DbD. It’s worth looking into these characters too as characters like Blight and Haddie were originally hinted at during the lore, so who knows if these characters could also come someday.

I was reading Doctor's lore a couple of days ago and originally Otto was killed by Herman, but later official lore got changed and Otto was not mentioned as killed anymore, so probably thr cannon got changed(at least as far as I remember, not sure tho).

Nick's lore could be a sign that the Pariah storyline will be revisited more in the future. It would be quite sad if the parents are actually alive in the Realm somewhere and that Felix's father was real when he shot him a look of disappointment. Otto knew the fate of his followers so maybe their parents knew what could become of their children too. I hope Felix and Elodie have made peace with each other and are friends again. They can find the truth together now.

I like to think the Entity is too vain, arrogant, and hungry to just kill people outright rather than introducing them to the trials. Furthermore, I fully believe Otto Stamper was associated with the cults of the Entity and that it’s possible the Stamper in Dredge’s lore and the one in Doctor’s are two completely separate people most likely two versions of the same person from two different universes. On that note, Pauline could simply be a female version of Otto also in another universe (if rule 63 applies to the DBD world of parallel universes!)

I believe the characters mentioned in the free perks descriptions were the past survivors that didn't make it. And so the entity made them as a reminder and as the totems around the map.

Maybe these characters had to be taken by the entity to influence their targets, like Felix, Elodie or Mikaela. The entity doesnt seem to pick peope at random anymore, at least not the recent ones. The first ones, like Dwight, Nea, Claudette etc, had been taken out of necessity. To establish a first stream of energy to the entity, so to speak. After feeding on these energy, the entity could allow itself to become...picky. Kidnapping people from more times, more people at once. Those with enough..feeding potential were put to the trials. Those unworthy were put in the void. And those who have potential, but havent reached it yet...maybe stored for later. In some extradimensional Pantry.

iirc Kate used to be a missing character but was eventually added in. Many of these characters may come back at some point as survivors or killers

I hoped to hear more about that female samurai i have read in some tome. She occurs now and then but doesnt have a name other than "female samurai" She seems to have a clue whats going on and actually has seen multiple killers but hasnt been in any form of chase yet, like a background character. Also she has helped some survivors too (jonah i believe). Sadly i cant pinpoint which tome lores it was since these lore snippets are gated behind pretty tough challenges sometimes, so im jumping back and forth between tomes rather than finishing one completely.
