I dont think the mom genuinely asked Ella for her ideas. She did it to intimidate her bc she knew ella would be too nervous to actually say anything. It was another control tactic.

To be honest though. The stop motion used to make the film is top tier. The modeling of the figuriens is awesome as well

She was still being told what to do. No thought for herself. From story to what made the dolls. Ella had no self-esteem.

The best thing to do is NOT make puppets out of meat. That would've prevented the whole thing.

Has anyone actually seen the movie? It’s all psychological. The meat puppets weren’t “going to get her, ” she just imagined they were alive because she was psychotic and under the influence of drugs. The little girl was her inner muse fueling her twisted ideas. She died because she cut open her leg and she bled out. It’s a story of abuse, trauma, and pride.

Well that was utterly horrifying, stop motion is just the creepiest art form to begin with but this took it to a whole other level.

To anyone who has not seen this movie, I highly suggest it. The movie sort of bombed in sales, which was insane to me after seeing it. The movie is a wonderfully creative depiction of what happens when identity issues (and mental health as a whole) are ignored, and there is SO MUCH to interpret in this film, I constantly go back to notice something new, whether it be foreshadowing I missed, metaphors that are wildly interpretative, or just how much work clearly went into this film. 10/10

I would set up hidden cameras in the house and not return to said house/workplace. Stay with the BF and get help. Hire a bodyguard, gear up and set the curse on fire like HTB said.
