Hypothesis Testing: One Sided vs Two Sided Alternative Test (One Tailed vs Two Tailed Test) with Example; What is the different between a one sided alternative hypothesis and two sided alternative hypothesis in statistics? How does the P value differ for these and how to interpret the hypothesis test?

In this statistics video lecture, we will learn the difference between a One Sided Alternative Hypothesis (or one sided test, or one tailed test) versus a Two Sided Alternative Hypothesis (or two sided test, or two tailed test) working through an example. How the p values, significance levels and effect size for one sided vs two sided hypothesis testing in statistics.

There is little practical difference between a 1 vs 2 sided hypothesis test in statistics, although it is important to understand the difference between the two.

In this statistics video, we spend more time on the statistical concept and explanations and less time on calculations.

Hello, I was doing a T-test and when I would put in the squiggly line for my DV and IV it would give me an error. I actually used a comma and it did the analysis. What is the difference between the two?

Hey i have a doubt regarding the z value and t value. Does the z or t value depend upon the sample size or anything... Or is that universal constants?
