Old mate looks like he knows his way round a bit of fentanyl.

The war on drugs has really just made the problem worse. Education and rehabilitation should be the primary focus not enforcement.

If only we had a Congress that cared, my mother was hooked on Rx drugs and alcohol, she died in 87. As long as the GOP thinks addicts deserve to die, nothing will change.

McConnell did claim that they were going to block every proposal... Blockheads, that's what they are.

The response did not sound like a SOLUTION to the war on DRUGS.

It's nickel dime stuff over the border, big money shipments come through on yachts and private jets if not actual company freight

If the government wouldn't have started the BS opioid crisis we may not havd been forced into the fentanyl issue. I am very tolerant of fentanyl and most drs are amazed as I was on 375 mcg of fentanyl patch and i could tolerate 6 patches at a time. Fentanyl helped with my depression and i could walk 5 miles a day. Now I am on a very low dose of morphine and would search if i could for fentanyl. Drs started taking patients off opiates over the lies and now those people have to search on the streets for pain relief. They are also afraid to prescribe fentanyl at all and it is a life saver..

Let’s punish people in pain because people get high on their meds.

Good on Mr. Jelly Roll for coming to realizations about his part in this issue...the only thing I have to say is, for far too many men, it's as if a thing doesn't exist unless it hits them in THEIR backyard. They can't seem to "feel it" until then. <sigh>
Does YOUR wife or son have to be a raging druggie, or YOUR daughter become a rape victim, for example, before you can clearly see that substance abuse is horrifying and rape is hideously real and consequential?

Just once, I would like to see them discuss people like me. People with long-term debilitating and ultimately lethal medical issues. People that need opioids to live a day without excruciating pain. What about us?

I think I could help Jelly Roll on his quest. I'm the other side of the drug coin, the addict. I've been clean for over 15 years now and I'm frustrated by the lack of action by our leaders.

I love how the tattoos and his past key people from attacking him… oh wait, if he was non white and looked the same way and said the same things - guess what the comment section would be all about. lol. I’ll pretend like it wouldn’t be a bigoted and evil tirade though.

He was the "uneducated man in the kitchen playing chemist with drugs, that he knew absolutely nothing about". However, he says that "the drug dealers are mixing every drug on the market with fentanyl and "THEY are killing the people we love." Is there a difference between himself and the drug dealer on the street? He also believes that when he sold drugs, "genuinely, drugs was a victimless crime. " 👀🙄 🤔😏🤦🏾‍♀🤷🏾‍♀

That was an incredible speech, unfortunately, our political leaders won't do anything about this crisis, it would take away a political talking point, therefore people will continue to get addicted, die, it's a sad state of affairs when a political talking point takes top billing over people and families being destroyed...

Why is a dude with tattoos in his face being respected on this subject?
