Just leave it, golf needs one tournament per year like this. Just know what you're getting into, fans and players.

Don’t forget. The reason the purse is so high are those beauties of fans.

You can get a 34-person skybox with 4 days of free food and open bar for only $53, 000??? Dear lord, they'd go bankrupt by Day 2 if my friends and I took part in that LOL. No wonder they're shutting the bars down at 2:00pm

John daily would come out of retirement to play the management open lol.

Keep it wild! Golf needs a tournament like this once a year to humble those pros.

the purse was just massively increased, would hiring more cops or a security team be too expensive ?

It’s declined into a disgusting drunk fest. Tiger figured that out years ago & stopped attending.

Nothing wrong with the concept, if that's your thing. Players and fans can decide whether to attend or not. Can't think of anything worse myself.

I was recently at the Boeing Classic this year and their was a hole next to the T-Mobile clubhouse where all the drunk old people were and at one point one of the players had to stop and wait for everyone to shut up. As soon as it was quiet another drunk female had to start yapping again for attention. It was beyond annoying and disrespectful. I think humans are losing their morals more and more every year.

News flash. It’s not just this tournament, it’s almost all of them. Also what does the sea level altitude have to do with anything lol.

Weeds legal here. They should consider switching substances so the crowd can calm tf down

INHO it started waaay back with "you da man" and has gone down from there to "go in the hole" shouted in the downswing of a tee shot on par 5. When the PGA and officials refuse to do anything about it, this is what you get.

It’s a great example of sports being ruined by money. Football, basketball and baseball has only gotten more expensive and the game has changed just so the players and owners/league can make more money. I hate the pitch clock and bat tossing after a home run and the over the top celebrations.

The PGA is way too stodgy. Hardly anyone remembers who won the 2013 Charles Schwab (Kenny Perry, btw) but everyone remembers Tiger dropping a hole in one in front of 20, 000 ASU students on 16 in 1997.
The reason they remember that is because of the atmosphere. Get rid of the dumbass box seats and get back to what makes TPC Scottsdale the most exciting course in the PGA schedule.

This past year, they were tossing beers on the green seemingly every other good shot, rather than just a hole in one. Dozens of people were hospitalized. It needs to keep its fun atmosphere but scale it back to how it was just a couple years ago

A lot of people forget that this tournament used to take place the same weekend as the match play. And the Sunday has always had to compete with the Super Bowl. So with a lot of the most popular golfers not there, they loosened up the rules to attract fans. But now, with no match play, they never scaled things back!
