Yesterday at a pool party my 6 year old son screamed "I am agadmator!" then proceeded to jumpkick down a waterslide. You're in his top 3 super heroes right now.

Great to see Gelfand win this game. I remember the 2012 World Championship where Gelfand had some very interesting games with Anand.

Boris vs. Vishy...two legends going at it for the final. Did we just time travel back 20+ years?

"That is a move you usually see in some very tricky openings like maybe the Evan's gambit or, you know, like some other side line..." 🤣

5:08 "Pawn to h4. Esipenko starts marching forward with the pawn. He wants to open up the king side".
Mission accomplished.

Agadmator has successfully initiated me into the Gelfand fan club. His games are always so interesting.

Strange that all decisive games were won by Black . Esipenko is still young . Taking a legend like Gelfand to Armageddon is an achievement all on its own .

#suggestion: at 4:44 you gave some nice analysis of the possibilities and consequences of taking the e5 pawn. Would it work if - instead of the traditional 'spot the move' questions - you asked us to identify whether the pawn can be taken? Or maybe "It might look as if this pawn can be taken, but it doesn't work. I'll give you a few moments to pause the video and work out why" - it would give us a challenge to find a sequence of moves to evaluate, rather than a single move. Does that make sense? Make us think a little deeper, instead of just taking a guess at a key move?

A day without an Agadmator video is not the best day, the computer does not like it. lol Tks for posting.

I remember a game you showed long ago where a move with a bishop was missed that would have paralyzed all enemy's pieces.

It's good to see an old hand give these kids a whooping every now and then to keep them from getting too cocky.

Agadmator’s “be(l)shop” will never not balm my ears.

This gambit reminds me, when the Great P.Keres used the wing gambit in the Sicilian against I think was Eliskases or Winter and proceed to destroy them merciless.

8:03, I must be missing something, why wouldn't Esipenko capture the rook on f8 instead of giving a check on e7? Gets rid of one of the attackers and he can capture the other rook on a3 if King captures on f8. Either way, he resigned two moves later so I feel like that would have a better way to go out.

I'm surprised you still haven't a game featuring Sokolsky opening (b4)

Heya, what do you think about shifting the quote on the top to the bottom, so that the subtitles don't block the first rank when they're turned on? It'd be pretty helpful for people who use subtitles

Gambit play usually leads to a lot of these beautiful kinds of messes, especially when sacrifices aren't accepted and it feels like a race to throw away pieces and board state in a hope that you're opponent's scorched earth just can't keep up. Amazing how everything rested on that rook at the end, whether it was sacrificed or not it made completely no difference.
