Canada showed up at Juno Beach. We showed up in Rwanda. In the Iran Hostage Crisis. We never chased the spotlight—we just did what was right.
Today, that legacy matters more than ever. If you've stood on Juno Beach or walked where history hit hard, drop a comment.

Canadian soldiers saved a little girl ftom starvation in 1945.
That little girl became my mother.
I'm a great grandfather in 2025.
Thank you Canada.

My husband's father "stormed the beach" at Normandy and lived to tell the tale. He was a First Nations soldier serving with the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada. He saw action in England, France, and Italy, where he was was wounded and reported missing in action. After being wounded, he returned to the front, where he watched his fellow soldiers and friends be killed by a mine. He was severely injured and was sent home after losing part of his leg in that incident. I'm sure he is rolling over in his grave over this Nazi fascist dictator crap going on in the US. Canada has a long history of being there when we're needed and not expecting fanfare. We believe in peacekeeping, not warmongering. We need to distance ourselves from the US and join other like-minded allies to achieve a united front against the Trump regime. Vive le Canada! Long live democracy! ❤ 🇨🇦 🇬🇱 🇲🇽 🇺🇦 🇪🇺 🇦🇺 🇳🇿 🇬🇧 🇰🇷 🇯🇵 🇮🇸 🇳🇴 🇧🇧 🇨🇷 🇨🇱 🇺🇾 🇹🇼

Canadians fight for what's right, not what's convenient. I drew my first breath as a Canadian, and as God is my witness, I will draw my last breath as a Canadian.

One of the most touching moments in recent history was Zelenskyy speaking about Canada’s support during an interview at the NATO meetings earlier this year. Zelenskyy turned to Trudeau and asked if he could tell the reporters about Canada’s role shortly after the invasion. Canada was one of the first to help, and not just money. We set up military training camps and taught the Ukrainian troops how to fight (particularly in cold weather). Second, we sent military engineers to help the Ukrainians upgrade older weapons being donated by places like the USA and help the Ukraine establish their own drone development capability. Zelenskyy thanked and praised Canada for being an invaluable partner. To think, for 2 years our government shared military resources at a very low cost to the Canadian people but great value to the Ukrainian people. No one bragged or looked for credit. Quiet courage from a strong ally.

Vimy is where we gained our reputation. That was the start and we continued since then. Very proud to be Canadian.

Canadian empathy and humanity will never die! Canadians are wired differently. We fight hard, ferociously, but we also respect life, all life! Canadians are fine with not getting the glory, even though American perception can be highly disrespectful to the truth. Canadians know deep inside that our strength is our character, not our weapons! Canadian soft power is well known and more respected around the world than American military power. That is what makes Canada special!

Guys that was one of the most sincere and patriotic videos I've seen about our country.
"Chaos is loud. Courage is quiet." I really like that quote. I'm writing that one down.

I remember my father telling me when he served in Italy and the Canadians basically kicked the nazi's out of Italy, he said the U.S. marched through Italy in nice shiny jeeps and tanks and took credit for what Canada did and anytime he saw me watching ANY war movie on t.v. he ALWAYS said "that's just more American bullsh*t". Great video again guys. Thanks and keep em coming, somehow they make me even prouder to be Canadian.

You're forgetting the battle of Walcheren. An island belonging to the Dutch province of Zeeland.
One of the most brutal the Canadians fought and won. That victory paved the way to liberate the rest of the Netherlands in 1945, where Montgomery failed in 1944 with his operation Market Garden.
We Dutch haven't forgotten Canada's role. Every year on May 5th, there's footage of General Charles Foulkes signing the German occupational force's surrender to the Canadians in Hotel de Wereld in Wageningen. The street is now named after the general.
BTW: Your new PM is a genius, with his US bonds dumping plot, forcing Von Shitzinpantz to back down, "like a dawg".

I’m a Canadian veteran and I have had the honour of visiting both Juno Beach and Vimy Ridge, as well as visiting parts of the Netherlands many years ago when on a business trip with the CAF.

Thank you for making this video. You are spot on about Juno beach. I admit I had an emotional reaction watching the video as I remembered the immense feeling of humility, awe and respect when I visited both Juno and Vimy. At the time I had served in Afghanistan only months earlier so it wasn’t that hard to imagine what our soldiers went through and overcome. I have such immense respect for bravery, courage and ingenuity of our soldiers. In both locations, as well as the Netherlands, I was struck by just how kind and grateful local people are for what the Canadians did for them. Although I didn’t have children at the time, I decided that when I did, I wanted to bring them and show them in person. I encouraged every Canadian, and everyone to visit both Juno and Vimy.
