Dark Souls Boss: Gaping Dragon

The Gaping Dragon is a pretty difficult boss if you're soloing. First things first, in The Depths level, there is a Channeler lurking. If you don't kill him he can put a rally buff on the Gap[ing Dragon Boss mid-fight making his attacks deal massive damage! Once he's out of the way, you have the option of summoning Solaire of Astora (by the stairs), and Knight Lautrec of Carim (on one of the balconies overlooking the arena). During the fight focus on chopping off the dragon's tail! It will stun him once you do, allowing you to get in a hit or two, it will shorten the range of his tail swipe attacks, and you'll also receive the Dragon King Greateaxe! Stay away from him when he's moving, as each step does splash damage and can be a pain to heal from. After he is down 50% health, he will do his large AOE vomit attack that can deal some annoying damage! Once you defeat him, don't forget to loot the body in the arena for the Hard Leather Set!
