"Delyo's Voyage" is a well-known Bulgarian folk song, part of the Thracian folk music tradition. The song is significant because it was one of the cultural artifacts included in the Voyager Golden Record, a collection of sounds and music launched into space aboard the Voyager spacecraft in 1977. The Golden Record was designed to communicate the diversity of life and culture on Earth to any potential extraterrestrial intelligence.
The song, performed by Bulgarian folk singer Valya Balkanska, tells the story of Delyo Haydutin, a legendary Bulgarian rebel who fought against the Ottoman Empire.
