Google Pixel 7 Pro One Week Later | Camera, Gaming, Battery Life & Beyond!

My Google Pixel 7 Pro review is coming soon but since a lot has changed this past week, here's an update on the camera performance, gaming, battery life and more! Check out my unboxing of the Pixel 7 Pro and regular Google flagship smartphone for a full tour of the specs and tech.

I've also done a full comparison vs the Pixel 6a, to see how it stacks up against a phone less than half the price! Is it worth grabbing Vs the Samsung S22 Ultra, iPhone 14 Pro Max etc?

It's a little too early to say how truly great the Pixel 7 Pro will be, but so far it's showing great promise. That camera can produce some of the best photos of any 2022 smartphone, with minimal effort or editing. Gaming is an improving experience, with Genshin Impact now a smoother experience post-update.

Battery life was shorter than expected after my unboxing but another Google update seems to have boosted the Pixel 7 Pro's longevity. You can now expect 6-7 hours of screen time with mixed use including camera play, media streaming etc. Here's hoping further optimisations help to improve it more.

Now this is a practical review. Those 'a day in the life...' reviews don't matter if you're not testing it after the latest updates. Thankfully I've ordered my white 512gb pro and waiting to migrate from my mi 11 ultra. Nothing much wrong with the latter, but it'd be good to get a lighter phone!

I got my P7 Pro with the official case from the Google Store. Makes a huge difference when it comes to grip, and honestly, they look great.

Thankful for someone who finally takes ergonomics into consideration. We're never going to get holdable phones until people start considering how they feel in the hand everyday.

Only on my 3rd day with the Pixel 7 Pro and finding the battery life underwhelming so far, Have faith it'll improve as it starts to work out my usage patterns. Absolutely loving the new camera setup, macro is good to have back (and you can disable it too which is great), and stabilisation is good.

I had the pixel 6 and was very critical of it due to the none responsive finger print and no Face ID obviously that has changed with the pixel 7 and I have to say it looks amazing along with photos optical zoom and with Face ID I did buy a second hand pixel 4 for messing about just recently and the Face ID is the best I’ve used for me it’s number 1 and with google experience this device and software in my book is No 1.. I have iPhone as well and find the Google to be more interesting with its features..

It has adaptive battery the phone understands how you use your phone and adjusts the battery life accordingly based on what apps you use etc, which is why the battery is garbage for the first couple of weeks.

I have to admit after having a mate 20 pro since release (had 3 new screens and backs) finally swayed by the free watch offer and a stupid cheap network offer making the 7 pro a no brainer.

now using it and have to say it was the most stressful and difficult switch in phones I've ever done, having to load nova launcher which I haven't had to use since the note 4 to get rid of the calendar in the top corner and make the clock central.

Anyway after setting up I have to say it is brilliant, I do have a iPhone 14 pro as a work phone to compare recent tech and in a honest comparison the pixel pro is so smooth and fast.

Had a few rounds on cod mobile at highest settings and not noticed any worrying heat or stutter issues but did have a large update a day after I opened it.

Really impressed so far but only niggle was the fact I have to install a third party app to get the phone looking and set up how I'd like.

I hope that when the review is done it includes the smart part of the smart phone, i.e. live translate, call screening, live interpreter, etc., etc.

I'm looking forward to the pixel 7 review. Right now I'm stuck on whether or not I want to go for the pro or the regular one. Size isn't a huge concern I just like doing a lot of close-ups and if the pro it was the only one that has that macro mode and that pretty much tells me that

That's awesome to hear, I was confused when I saw your original review and you stated the battery wasn't great and every other reviewer was saying the opposite. But I'm glad that has been addressed.
