In this week's episode we sat down with Dr. Enver Tohti, who worked as a surgeon in Xinjiang province of China and was forced to harvest organs from prisoners who were shot in front of him. Dr Enver told us about the crimes Chinese government commits against Uyghur population, Chinese secret nuclear weapons testing program and how he exposed it all and had to seek asylum in the UK.

Guy goes from being very well off surgeon in China to a busdriver in the UK. It cost him his country, his family and his career.
But he has saved lives, started a movement and become a true hero. Who knows, maybe in 40 years he will return as a national hero who fought the corrupt regime.

He deserves to be celebrated here in the UK, this man is a hero and a role model for scientists. What I would give for him to teach students medical ethics- why are we not using his amazing mind to teach our students (not a dig at bus drivers- driving a bus is a skill in itself especially in the UK)! And 2 years for asylum is criminal no one should wait that long!?! Asylum seekers are unable to work while they wait and cost the UK approx £300 a day why on earth would create a system which takes a candidate with strong evidence of why he can’t return to country of origin 2 years to process their application- like seriously?!
