Oh yeah, only a rumour. A week before the disappearance of MH370, an unknown US reporter came to Malaysia and boarded the same plane, albeit on a different date. He was an undercover agent. Purpose:learn the layout, procedures, etc. Who knows.

Need the schematic of the Plane before you can rule out technical failure...

Ur able to use cellphone on a plane Flight crew have several ways to send alert, yet there was no info of this happening. What about the scenario that everyone succumb to smoke or poison Ghost plane or captures crash due to fuel shortage. Otherwise why no contact from so many people?
