I'm glad this is fixed...it was driving me crazy. :) If you feel a pop, loose, clunk, clang, not right sensation in your steering wheel then this is the part you need to cure it. #trucks #superduty #diesel

I just sent 2023 F350 in for same sound, they said they adjusted steering box and said everything was tight. As soon as I drove over a bump I could hear and feel same thing. Still rattling and can feel it in steering wheel. Awesome video thanks just saved me a trip back to dealership. 😅

I recently bought a used 2019 F350 dually. 110k miles. I have this issue also. Clunking in some turns, going over some bumps, sometimes when I accelerate and wheel turned, etc. I also feel it in the accelerator pedal. I’m going to check this on mine asap. Thank you for the video!

A noticeable pop in the steering wheel that can be felt in the accelerator pedal. My 2019 F350 SD has been doing this since 24k miles. If I turn the wheel to the right and his the accelerator, a sharp noticeable pop.

Took mine off to inspect it, felt a very fine dead spot in the upper joint. After putting it back on, now have a pretty significant knock in the colum at Freeway speeds. Craziest 🤷

UPDATE:
Replaced the shaft and just like 4-Low. Magic all pops, knocks, whatever you want to call Gone. Also this is shaft #2 for my truck. Saw in the service history that original owner had it replaced at 27k miles. I currently have 40k. I don't beat on the truck either. I think some company needs to make a stronger shaft.

Thank you for this video, I will definitely be giving this a try. Did you have to get an alignment and what torque specks ?

Just replaced mine and problem is resolved. If not for this video, it would have taken double the time. I was done in 45 minutes

Why not demonstrate the noise, so we will know? It would’ve been more helpful. That noise can be a few things, the steering gearbox, steering linkage, might need a stabilizer to strengthen the front end. I have a noise as well and was curious what you heard. Thanks.

Replaced the steering shaft per this video and the snap, rattle, pop...all gone.

How many miles were on the truck?

I’ve got a clunk in right front wheel. Replaced ball joints and didn’t get rid of it. Might be something in my hub.

What about the upper steering shaft? Is it possible to replace it myself? Thank you

Anyone have a torque spec for those 2 bolts?

For what it's worth F150 spec is: Top 35ft lb Bottom 22ft lb

Could this be related to bumps in my pedals? I think I've heard it is related I have the steering wheel bumps and my pedals feel loose

Did you also feel the popping when accelerating too? I think this is the same issue I am facing.

Where did you buy yours from? I can’t seem to find much on these online.
