The course will meet six consecutive Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. CDT, September 10 – October 15, 2020.

There will be six classes:

Week 1: September 10 THE FAITHS

Week 2: September 17 THE PRACTICES

Week 3: September 24 DIFFERENT SECTS

Week 4: October 1 THE IMAGE OF OTHERS

Week 5: October 8 JESUS, MARY, JOHN THE BAPTIST, AND ZECHARIAH

Week 6: October 1 MUSLIM-CHRISTIAN ENCOUNTERS (THIS VIDEO)

This course presents introductory information about Christianity and Islam in a systematic manner. It includes the issues related to the faiths, practices, different sects in the religions, and the relationship between the religions.

At the end of the course, participants are expected to be able to;

Understand the basic information about Christianity and Islam.

Discover the common ground between Christianity and Islam to facilitate working together from this common ground in the future.

Understand the historical relationship between Christians and Muslims to depict the sociological basis.
