I am writing to you in regards to the incident that occurred at the Williamsburg Doctors Hospital on June 03, 2020. I have been informed that you have refused to address the issue concerning the racial discrimination that occurred against my family. After perusing your background as a CEO of Riverside and you sit in as a board member for the Newport News public schools achievable dream. As a board member, I read your statement " I am are here to bring our African-American children about a learning experience and a better way of life. " If you really meant what you stated, then I should be able to expect you to live up to your words. My 9 year old daughter is a Newport news student and her well-being is very important to me and my husband. She was also traumatized by the horrendous experience by your staff member. As a leader, you are expected to lead by example and your guidance trickles down to your workers. Racial discrimination has no place in the medical world and it needs to be stamped out at every turn. What will you do to help end this? As an African American, wife, mother, and a citizen that should expect equal rights, I am asking you to review and consider my case. I will not give up !
