I’m disappointed with the the prices in Europe. We need to pay around 200€ more for the pro models than last year. Iphone 14 Pro costs 1299€ about 1290$ USD. They raised prices of new products for at least 100€. We are in the middle of inflation and the start of energy and economics crisis and every €/$ is important

I''m upgrading to a 14 Pro Max since Apple ditched iOS 16 support for the iPhone 7. While I'm sure they could have done a few more things to improve the phone, it will be a quantum leap ahead for me.

Actually, the phones may wobble less. Since the lenses are larger, they’ve increased the width of the lens mount, so it extends closer to the middle of the width of the phone. That will make it more stable, not less. I guess I’ll find out next Friday when my arrives.

As far as increased battery life goes with the Pro models, is Apple measuring battery life with the always on screen feature on? Because it would be like the watch. With the feature on, I get about 26 hours of use. With it off I get over 30.

Don’t forget that the 14 gets the A15 with the extra GPU core the pro models got last year, so there is some performance increase in graphics.

Remember that the dollar is very strong right now. The € was worth more at $1.15 to the €. But now the € is just worth $1.00. So you can expect a 15% increase in price solely due to that. Then VAT goes up 15% because of that. Also many places have an import tax. The UK’s was 10%, if that’s still the case, then that went up by 15% as well. Everywhere the dollar is strong, prices will go up by whatever the percentage that currency went dow.

One more thing I’m sure most of us overlooked is ProRes video recording is limited to 1080p at 30 frames per second on iPhone 14 Pro models with a 128GB storage capacity. To record ProRes video in 4K at 30 frames per second, a model with a 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB storage capacity is required.
