I'm strongly pro fireworks because I grew up in a part of Califrnia where you couldn't have so much as a sparkler, I feel the need to make up for all those lost years and I see how fireworks can be a fun tradition that brings the entire family together. That being said the air quality after the fireworks was atrocious and I can understand limiting the number of fireworks a house can set off. I think a complete ban is wrong and so long as the ban is in place the problem will get worse/alot of people will rebel against the ban and the police won't be able to handle it like they couldn't handle it this year.

Unfortunately protection island in port Townsend Washington caught fire yesterday and burned for a few hours it's made the smoke so much worse

On nws Portland, it still shows the temperature for Salem, OR at 72 degrees as of 7:56am yesterday. Obviously that's not correct, why do these weather sensors get stuck like that sometimes?
