Take the luggage inside. You need a 3 person tent for yourself anyway. Why a 3 person tent ? It is the least size to spend multiple rainy days in a row ibside

So it's cold out judging by the down jacket. Loose the tent and set up an a-frame tarp you don't need bug protection so that's just extra weight. Plus you can carry a larger tarp and have more room with the same weight.
