An Apple II emulator for the Tandy Color Computer 3?!

Can one 8-bit retro computer emulate ANOTHER 8-bit retro computer?! Spoiler alert: Yes, yes it can 😁 Check out my quick little demo of me emulating an Apple II machine on my childhood Tandy Color Computer 3!

So this is by no means a complete implementation as i'm really just emulating the lo-res text video ram as well as simple keyboard input, but everything you see is being generated by the real AppleSoft 6502 instruction code running through my CPU emulation core on my CoCo 3! This was really meant to be just a proof-of-concept, but it's certainly possible to take this project further and support more of the hardware's capabilities!

The 6502 emulation core was written as a mostly modular thing so that myself (and others) could use it in other kinds of 6502-based projects. All the source code for this will be on my github shortly and linked below! For obvious reasons, you would need to source an Apple II or II+ ROM yourself as it is owned by Apple and cannot be distributed, etc. Thanks for checking it out!

Very cool. Someone has (relatively) recently written a Z80 CP/M emulator that runs under OS-9 on the CoCo. I believe it comes pre-installed in NitrOS-9 EOU.
