It’s almost like the force rewarded him for his sacrifice by giving him back his sight to see Hera one more time.

From the minute he meet Ezra he knew he was going to die. "he's going to be the death of me."

It's worth noting that Kanan foresaw his death in the Force, accepted his fate, and was thus able to tweak the circumstances of his death to save his loved ones. The Force even granted him his sight in those final moments. That was his final lesson to Ezra, who did something similar to defeat Thrawn because he accepted his own fate.

This was such a sad episode, and the fact that he got his eye sight back for his final moments, just to see one last time, the person he loves.. Heartbreaking..

It still pains me that Kanan got a way more epic, honorable and memorable death than Luke

The moment where he gets his eyesight back just long enough to see Hera had me bawling. Then at the end of the series, we see that she had children that seem to resemble him, meaning that she was unknowingly pregnant at the time. And yep, I cried again when I realized😭

At the end of S2 Kanan told Hera they would see each other again, and by this point he had come to terms with the fact that that wasn't going to be the case, but being granted with his vision in his final moments, fulfilling his promise that he would see her again, adds even more emotion to this for me

Definitely one of the saddest death that I think we all witnessed here. I’m glad he was able to see Hera one more time before his time was done

As Darth vader said to Luke: Let me look at you with my own eyes

Kanaan is such an underrated character. If order 66 hadn't happened when it did we wouldn't ever have known how great of a Jedi he was. He is comparable to Obi Wan in that respect, not very powerful in the Force, but a very important event shines a light on their very powerful "heart", personality, or "character".

Kanan's and Obi-Wan wan deaths are the saddest in Star wars two mentors who fought and sacrificed himself for their ward

And people say Rebels is dumb…
I love the metaphor of his hair. If you think about it, they use his hair and beard to represent the weight he carries, the more he goes through, the thicker he grows his beard out. And in that episode, he comes to peace with himself and everything he struggles with, so he shaves it all off, no longer constrained by the weight of his past.

“let me look upon you with my own eyes” it’s like poetry, it rhymes

That scene always gets to me. I get choked up any watery eyed... probably one of the most emotional scenes in all of star wars...
