Is MBA Worth It? #unfinance #shorts

Tell us in comments what do you think about doing an MBA?

In addition to the real costs associated with tuition rates, room, and books, professionals who undergo a full-time MBA generally must forego at least two years of salary income.

For my parents' generation, the default option for career development was getting an MBA. At one point in the late 2010s, I considered the degree, too.

But is it worth it?

This is false I wasted 3yrs of my life working with just a bachelors degree, kitna bhi upskill karlo corporate politics will never appreciate you. So I did MBA and passed out this year and now I'm a manager who leads a team whose members have around 10yrs of experience. This is the harsh reality

A mba degree from a reputed iim or any top b school is not just about the course fee or salary. It's about the opportunity, the network you get from that school . The skills like communication and networking play a Major role in someone's career

Coming to the salary part, people who graduate from top bschool get to a package of 1cr in 10years of post mba

And around 7-10cr within 20 years and get to high level position like Ceo, Cxo etc

However for becoming Partner/MD etc in consulting firms, MBA is highly required

it's only possible if you have extremely niche skill otherwise the MBA guy/gal is only going to earn more. Not a realistic scenario.

Opportunity cost - I could have become Mark Zukaruburg by dropping from the Enginnering college 10 years back. Which means Billions of dollar lost plus wo 8-10 lakh ki engineering and fir 15 lakh ki MBA. Hence, Unfinanced🤭

Down the line the consultant will earn more and find it easier getting into a Senior role with timely switches. Whereas the Product Manager will eventually need to do an MBA to climb up the ladder.
Time by which the Product Manager will complete his MBA. The consultant would have most likely jumped up the ladder.

In short, counting opportunity cost in present comes at an expense of achieving your long term goals :)

PS: I'm a recruiter and I speak from experience.
