US CHRISTIAN MISSIONARIES AND FAMILY MEMBERS KIDNAPPED

A total number of 17 US Christian missionaries and family members including children were kidnapped on Saturday by a gang in Port-Au-Prince while leaving an orphanage. The missionaries were abducted from a bus headed to the airport to drop off some members of the group before continuing to another destination in Haiti. Haiti has been witnessing kidnappings of the rich and poor alike and violent incidents due to the political upheaval in the country. violence is rising across the capital Port-Au-Prince and it has been estimated that half of the city is now under the control of gangsters
