Maybe when you have sun glasses it can only check you head movement.

There are still situations where 12.5.4 slows down, for example, slowing down to 30mph in a 50mph roadway in the morning without traffic and I find myself pressing on the accelerator to keep up with the speed limit. and it still does these unnecessary lane changes even when “minimal lane changes” are already toggled.

Cool vid, if you do the test with closing your eyes though you should have someone else in the car if you’re on a public road just for safety. Or maybe test it in an empty parking lot.

Classic pairs of glasses don't pose a problem for FaceID on iPhone to see the eyes, but polarized glasses do pose problems, and yet they're widespread. You'd have to try it with these 😂 Of course, the car may not be able to see anything through normal glasses lol

With the updates since your video curious whether you’ve noticed FSD reacting differently to different types of sunglasses(like ones w reflective vs matte lenses)?

Mine are like mirrors and have like a blue tint to them… Initially they worked, but now the attention monitoring toggles off a few secs after putting them on.

It's because you drive wide open text book roads. There are other places where it doesn't fly :)
And yes, the sunglasses really is forfeiting the surveillance. It can't see your eyes. You can put your head back, go slack jawed, maybe drool a little, see if it catches on :)
