Been interesting here in Berdoo today watching this fire grow. I’m 10 miles west and we’ve had ash fall since Friday afternoon. I’ve been looking at the mountains every day just waiting for it to happen. Went through the Old Fire in 04 and all I can say is it’s good this one is already east of town.

Prayers to all firefighters, prayers to all the wildlife, everyone leaving your homes take your pets with you, any livestock there’s agencies that will help an have somewhere to put during this fire ( most the time a fair grounds ) . I’d have to water down my home before I leave .

I am 5 miles from this fire. Luckily we are not in evacuation zone...yet. Praying. The smoke is very serious in all surrounding areas. So bad you cannot see stop lights until you are on top of them. Dont driive...horrible conditions. I pray for all who are being directly effected with evacuations. I just pray we will not be one of them. Jesus....I hate this! So scary

I watched from a ridge near Yucaipa around 3 today it was scary big. Gigantic black clouds with lightning going off inside them & then It rained pretty hard for a while. Never seen anything like it

The best way to have a fire proof resistant house is very simple. Build your entire house out of Concrete and Steel frame. With fire resistant doors and windows. Clear all trees one hundred feet or yards away from your house. Have a fire resitant roof. The house must be made of Concrete and steel frame. Fire can not burn concrete. Notice after each fire, all the brick fire places are still standing. Fire does not burn concrete or brick. Case closed. Do not use wood or cheap plastic to build your house.
