It was pretty impressive of her to absorb his fall considering her size and her being crippled.

I honestly think she's a well written character. She lost her eye and leg which would traumatize anyone since it happened when she was young but she accepted immediately in consideration with what she got in return, which was a title and respect. She's highly intelligent and skilled and being easily jealous and clingy just adds more to her personality. I'm annoyed that dislike that part about her but honestly it makes her more human.

i’m team iwanaga all the way, but i don’t think ppl understand the significance of saki + why this arc was her and kuro getting closure. saki was kuro’s first love, and his true attempt of normalcy/denying his yokai side. she’s neither rikka or iwanaga, but she is a mixture of both. she’s the transition that showed that kuro wanted distance from rikka, but she’s the reality that he cannot easily run away bc his trauma is a part of him forever. nonetheless, it’s easy to see saki as rikka’s double, but throughout the arc, we see that her personality is very similar to iwanaga’s. that’s kuro’s actual taste, not just the face value. (he even admits that he never saw saki as rikka’s replacement, but she brushes it off bc rikka and kuro are forever bonded bc of the predicament, and that’s not something he could’ve helped, esp as a child/teenager when they started dating). but anyway, point is, saying goodbye to saki meant kuro was truly moving on with his life w/o any grievances, and his chosen path is iwanaga, who not only accepts him but allows him to use the part of himself that he hated & turn it into something good. iwanaga is self-love for kuro, but he could not have made that step if it wasn’t for saki giving him the space to grow away from his family.

I think Kuro does like Kotoko a bit. Or at least he admires her abilities as a supernatural detective and he likes playing Watson to her Sherlock. You could sense some silent admiration in that story with the giant snake spirit. But then she's younger than him and kind of spoiled, selfish, childish, etc. So, I think he loves her brain but has issues with her personality.
