I love that you tell us to do it the “way our brain works.” This is important in so many things!

For those that don't think it looks like a "braided" Irish chain, if you look at the pattern cover itself, it really shows why the designer called it that. I assume you would need to make the larger sizes to get that effect. It is really quite lovely. Thank you Jenny for showing us the ropes on this pattern!

What an amazing quilt. Thank you Jenny for going through the process of breaking down a pattern, so we are comfortable taking on a pattern that looks difficult.

Am I the only one who saw "snowflakes" immediately?
I admit I can also see spiders after reading the comments... but I saw big beautiful snowflakes sewn in an array of blue batiks with silver accents!

I agree with those saying this looks like giant spiders, but think exploding fireworks is another possibility. Interesting design, but I'm not seeing how it's a braided Irish chain.

Love this pattern and your colors. It’s definitely fireworks or some cosmic celestial thing!

I think of the snowflakes, the spiders, and the fireworks. But I think with a blue background, it could be marine life in the ocean too. Boy, our brains are amazing! Thank you for the tutorial, and thank you, Melissa Corey, for allowing Jenny to show us.

I could see this for Halloween as it looks like 4 giant spiders to me.

Just one (nine-patch) block looks like it would make a great "snowflake" wall hanging. I have Christmas blues that would be great for this!

It seems like this could be sewn with charms or even mini-charms. I love this pattern. Thanks for finding Melissa Corey for us!

Would look fantastic in Patriotic, Christmas, Halloween and something bright and floral looking❗️Very versatile depending on the fabric choices.

If you look at the patterns cover photo it is 3 x 3 layout. As a queen size you can see the Irish chain. It doesn’t look like spiders.
