Inside my Tesla Model 3 during a massive hail storm

On August 01, 2022, I was driving northbound on the Queen Elizabeth II highway South of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada when a massive hailstorm caught me in the ope without any shelter from the storm. In all, over 70 vehicles had their windows smashed out and incurred massive body damage from the storm that lasted about ten minutes.

The glass in my Tesla Model 3 was beaten by the massive hail, some as big as tennis balls and grapefruits, but still managed to hold itself in place which protected me from the falling ice.

This video was shot after the bulk of the storm had already passed.

Wow, that's scary. I got stuck in a small hailstorm in my Model Y while driving from Colorado to Kansas. The hail was small, maybe pea-sized, but it still caused a few dents in my car. Thankfully the glass wasn't damaged like shown in your video. I lucked out that there was an overpass ahead, so I and a few other cars managed to hide under there for a few minutes until the hail died down.

What will hurt the worst is the repair bills for that car, those Teslas are very expensive to maintain and repair.

Wow! Hail that size can kill you. Your glass performed great! Looks like it could use one more interior lamination though to prevent the minor sprinkling of small glass particles.
