Beyoncé is a chameleon, she can sing any genre and has different vocal capibilities. She sings, dancees, produces, directs among many other things . Exactly. Everyone who's a singing specialist knows how powerful her voice is but that's also her hard work. Her technique is amazing, a lot of singers study her and always mention how hard is to even try to sing her songs. If a person can listen they'll know she can sing but, after almost 30 years in her career, some people still try to tell us she can't. I just have to laugh because wtf.

This is the second album era. Bday. She was already established as Beyonce by now. This era is when she truly became BEYONCE! The gift album in 03 she went solo… then in 04 Destiny’s Child released their final album. 05 they ended their world tour and Beyonce filmed Dreamgirls the movie that came out in like December of 06. She was in the midst of a media campaign for her 2nd album Bday which came out during the Summer.

I love this performance! I saw a reaction from a vocal coach who did a deep dive into the technicalities of her vocal performance here and wow, she’s so intentional with every choice she makes with her voice. The way she oscillates up and down scales, the staccato and shift in her chords is just SO impressive. This was a good one, thank y’all!
