I’m here in East Tennessee, but safe and sound, thank God. Just a few miles away, the towns have been decimated and we have been cut off from our family. It is our own citizens, volunteers and churches that are collecting money and delivering the supplies in person, even on foot and equine because most roads are washed out. Our own church had to stand up to police trying to prevent us from going in. I have seen many more reports from those on the ground who are just disobeying the standdown orders in order to get to our people before they starve or die of thirst. This includes doing what they can to feed the livestock and animals that were blessed enough to make it through

Why are FEMA telling locals to not aid the victims...several eye-witness reports of this, even a helicopter pilot who was threatened with arrest if he returned to collect a stranded victim from a cut off mountain.
